Some general updates of the writerly kind...

Here's the lowdown on all things writing-related:

1. Black Dark - Still clipping along. The word count meter hasn't moved much because most of the work I've been doing lately has been by hand, in the form of editing existing chapters and things like that. But rest assured, there is much forward motion happening.
2. Rules of Engagement - Flying along like Playing With Fire did. Easily 5,000 words a day for the last several days, costing me all kinds of sleep, and my two beta readers have been giving enthusiastic thumbs up on the individual chapters. But then, I think they're just skipping to the dirty bits.
   
3. Playing With Fire - No release date yet. Some changes going on within the publishing company that are making me a bit apprehensive. Updates to come.
   
4. Camera Shy - We're getting down to the wire. I should have a definitive answer in the next 2 weeks. Please cross all applicable appendages, return your tray tables to their upright and locked positions, and pray to your deity of choice for a request for a full manuscript.
5. Luke Boydston's Baby - Partial submitted. Fingers crossed.
6. Closer - On hold while I finish Rules of Engagement and Black Dark.
   

There. Wasn't that exciting?

I'm actually having a blast with Rules of Engagement. I have to admit I was a bit uncertain about wandering into that kind of uncharted territory, but I'm having fun with it. Especially when the two characters start bantering and trying to one-up each other verbally. I love these guys.

And, just for the hell of it, some gratuitous mancandy of the James McAvoy persuasion...
