Phil gave me a heads up about this last night, and fortunately Eddie heard about it too, or I might have missed it: There was a wicked cool solar eclipse today, and all the cool kids who live in Asia and the Pacific got to see it. Seeing as how we live in the Pacific and are among the cool kids, we got to witness this spectacle, probably at the expense of our retinas (What? You're not supposed to look right at it?).
Our cameras, being the insanely cool but not quite NASA-standard toys that they are, didn't really want to photograph the eclipse in question, but thanks to a few well-placed reflections, managed to get at least enough photographic evidence to verify that I did, indeed, witness the eclipse:So there you go. Some fun in the sun. Or the shadows. Or something.
