Update on Rules of Engagement

I'm doing a little happy dance right now because I just saw the cover art for Rules of Engagement. I was given three choices and - after consulting with Scarlett - e-mailed the editor back with my preference.

Unfortunately, I can't show it to you yet. However, the editor promised I'll have the final version soon, and the second she gives me the word, it'll be posted here.

All I will say is that they definitely took me at my word when I said I wanted something understated. It doesn't scream "FILTH WITHIN!" quite the way the cover of Between Brothers does (which, for that book, is perfect), but it's subtle, attractive, and...well...I heart it.

Also, for those of you who have noticed the serious lack of Japanistan photos on my blog as of late, take heart...the weather's been shitty and our car has been having issues, but now that we have a new car and the weather seems to be leveling out, we will be getting out to take pics again soon.

And now to get to work on The Distance Between Us, even though seeing my cover art pretty much did a Ctrl+A+Delete on my brain. Must...focus...
