A little friendly competition. For motivation.

Here it is: The first ever contest here on Adventures in Navy Wifing. Oh well, it was bound to happen.

You know those lame motivational posters that people put up in offices? The ones that have been lampooned all over the internet with various demotivators? Well, I happen to think the demotivators are fucking hilarious.

And my good friend Kuwisdelu seems to like making them a little dirty, dubbing them Naptivators...since, well, they motivate people to, erm, go take a nap.

So...I'm having a Demotivator and Naptivator contest.

Here's how it works:

1. Create a Demotivator or Napmotivator. If you don't have software at your disposal for this, send me the photo you wish to use and the caption you want included.
   
2. You may enter as many times as you want.
   
3. Send them to thethinker42(at)gmail(dot)com. Alternately, you may post links to Photobucket or other such sites in the comments on this blog entry.
   
4. Please keep them fairly small...gif, bmp, or jpg formats are fine.
5. Judging will be based on originality, humor, and pretty much any other criteria I see fit to use.
   
6. You will not be judged on formatting, font sizes, or any of that crap. Just make sure I can read them.
   
7. The contest ends at midnight, 01/01/2010 Japan time. (So, December 31st for most of you)
8. I am the judge, though I may consult Scarlett or Kuwisdelu at my discretion.
9. Prizes are pride, glory, and your Demotivator/Naptivator posted in a future entry here on AINW.

The categories (I will assign entries to categories, this is just so you know some of the possible titles that are up for grabs):

1. Naptivators: Hottest, Best Double Entendre, Best Use of a Leto,
   
2. Demotivators: Funniest, Most Offensive, Best Use of Irony,
   
3. Both categories: Best Use of Song Lyrics, Best Use of Film Dialogue, Best Bastardization of a Well Known Slogan, Scarlett's pick, Kuwisdelu's pick, Best In Show, Best Use of Kuwisdelu (if you don't know him, well...don't worry about it lol)
   

I reserve the right to add/remove categories depending upon entries received.
