It's November 1, 2010 here in Japanistan, which means one thing: NaNoWriMo BEGINS!
I'm up to a little over 1,000 words so far on Guilt by Association, and aiming for at least 5,000 today. Normally I start NaNo with at least 10,000 words, but I have some plans with the fleshpeoples tonight, so I don't know if that'll happen. Tomorrow, however, there will be 10,000 words.
Also, I've changed my goal for NaNo to 125,000 words. Chances are, this will mean more than one book, but I have a novella outlined and waiting in the wings, so I'll be able to jump right from one book to the next. Or, there's always the possibility that Guilt by Association will reach 125,000. God, I hope not. Ideally, I'd like it to be right around 100,000 like its prequel, Cover Me.
So, to all my loyal blog minions participating in NaNo in various parts of the world, get cracking (when it's time) and good luck!

A sequel to Cover Me? Really? Cool!! For that I will forgive you for writing 10,000 words in one day! I signed up 2 weeks ago, but I figure I will be lucky to make 10,000 words by the end of the month this first time. I hope to make a good start after work today though.

ReplyDeleteIndeed, there will be a sequel to Cover Me! :D Different main characters this time, but rest assured, Nick and Andrew WILL be there.
Don't know if I'll end up hitting 10K today or not...had to do some last minute outline tweaking, so...we'll see.
But yes, the sequel is coming. ;)

looks like 17000 to me, is that so? If so, congrats. Nice job, even if it is Nov 2 there! I'm getting to be in Hawai'i currently at 9831..maybe I'll hit 10,000 before sleep!
ReplyDeleteIt's Nov 3rd here, and I'm past 17K now. :) Doubt it'll be another 10K day today, not with the time I need to spend tweaking some outline issues, but I plan to at least crack the 20K total mark.
