Productivity is down.

My knee was bothering me again today, so it ended up being another day of slothery. The cats didn't seem to mind, though I'm still trying to figure out how four cats can take up the entire couch with almost no room left for me. It's a big couch, and they're not exactly huge. Fuckers.

I got a little bit of writing done, but was hung up on a few scenes that are driving me batty. That's the worst part about being this close to the end of a draft: I write scenes out of sequence, so by the time I'm nearly done, only the most irritating scenes remain. My main characters are seriously lucky that I've already written the ending, or some of them would meet very untimely and unpleasant demises. Especially that rat bastard Sorcerer that won't cooperate. Fucker.

A random few updates:
  1. The house is coming along, though slowly. My knee has been acting up, making it difficult to crawl around the floor behind a palm sander. The dining room is on its third coat of poly with one, possibly two, to go. The upper stairs and landing are on their first coat. I've started painting the bedroom. I haven't been nearly as productive lately as I'd like to be, but hopefully after a visit to the acupuncturist this weekend, I'll be back on my feet, so to speak.
  2. I added a word count meter to the top of my blog, which you may have noticed. I have also come up with a working title for the book, but I doubt it will be the final title. With any luck, that book will be finished soon, and that counter will be replaced by a depressingly less-progressd one for another project.
  3. I converted Ms Papercuts to the Dark Side. By that I mean that I finally -- after a year or more of "meh, he's ok" -- convinced her that Jared Leto is hot.

That's about it. Hopefully this week will be more productive. My acupuncturist will work his magic on my knee, and, since I have a deadline looming (Eddie comes home a week from Friday or Saturday), I will likely get a lot more done around the house.

Assuming I'm not chatting with Ms Papercuts about Jared Leto, the various other celebrities we would like to shag, or our WIP's.
