Another day in Paradise...

Today, we went to the aquarium. Most of the exhibits were difficult to photograph, so I didn't get a lot of pictures of the various and assorted wet creatures we saw, but I had to get a shot of these guys:

"How the hell are we supposed to do the 'Macarena', moron? We don't have any arms!"
Then it was on to the ray & shark exhibit, where we were promised whale sharks and manta rays. Given that it is on my Bucket List to see both at some point during my lifetime, I was eager to beat feet down to that particular tank. It didn't disappoint:

Note the size of the people, then the size of the manta ray. Then note that he's several feet away from the glass, and is actually bigger than he looks. We may have an opportunity to go swim with these guys out in the wild. I SO hope we get to.

The restaurant is right up next to the tank, and we were fortunate enough to snag a table right next to the glass. Eddie got to the table just as another couple did, but they were gracious enough to share it with us. The view was spectacular. I did the best I could to get some pictures, but the lighting is not conducive to photography, so bear with me.

Stingray Parking Only. This was my view from our table during lunch:

Shark Parking Only. Another view from the table.
"They see me rollin'..." (Manta ray, probably 9 or 10 feet across)
Stingray meets Rayzilla: (the stingray on the right is about 3 feet across)
A whale shark!!! One of three in the tank, I believe this one was actually the smallest. He was immense, though, bigger than he looks in the picture.

I could have easily spent all day sitting in front of that tank, but there were limited tables and a lot of people, so we left after lunch. One of these days, I will come back on a weekday, wherein I can sit and drool over the dozens of rays, sharks, etc.

When we got outside, we were just in time to find seats for the DOLPHIN SHOW! I've seen an Orca show before, but never a dolphin show.

"My mad skillz: let me show you them":
"MY ball!":
"I haz mad jumping skillz.":
"I can FLY!":
"You has a flavor":
"Iz my ball!":
*raspberry*:
"I can totally see up your shorts.":
It was a gorgeous day (we both got a bit sunburned), a pretty drive, lots of fun...all in all, it rocked.
That is all. The end. FIN.
