My Muse Has Spoken.

A lot of writer-wannabes sit on their asses waiting for the muse to come along and whisper in their ears. They wait, because apparently genius is going to come along and quietly pour from their fingers onto the page and cause The Greatest Story Ever to be written.

Doesn't quite work that way.

My muse doesn't whisper in my ear.

My muse gets on MSN IM and demands - mercilessly - that I write. That I write NOW. Forget eating. Forget breathing. Forget going anywhere with my husband for our anniversary. No...WRITE NAO.

And surprisingly, this works.

Having someone foaming at the mouth and demanding to read more of my writing is probably the single best motivator I've ever had to actually get the words out of my head and into my books. For that, Ms Papercuts, I am grateful.

And as soon as I finish this blog entry, and my breakfast, I shall write, so that you will be able to read the end of the scene in chapter 4.

I must go now. My muse is sending me hitlerfaces and demanding that I write.

She scares me...
