The self-imposed grounding continues.

I'm 1 day into my self-imposed grounding from writing and it's already driving me batty. I suppose that's a good thing; it means I want to get back to writing.

I've been sort of deviating from my no-writing promise...I've been outlining The Wedding Photographer. I'm working out some plot issues, figuring out my characters, etc., but not allowing myself to actually write the story yet. Trust me - there's a difference. I think it's working too: I'm working up some serious enthusiasm for this story, and my refusal to allow myself to actually write it yet is giving me more time to think it through, to figure out more crappy situations to put my characters into, etc. A few more days and I'll be frothing at the mouth to write it like I was with Playing With Fire.

In the meantime, I've also been passing some of my busy-time by abusing PhotoShop, as some of you have probably seen in this blog entry and this one.

Then Dave decided to be mean to me, so I did the only thing I could do.

I PhotoShopped him:

That should serve as a warning to the lot of you. Cross me, and one of two things will happen:
  1. I will do horrible things to you in PhotoShop.
  2. I will cast you in one of my novels. This may sound like a good thing, but trust me...it's not.
Now, back to tweaking my outline. I will not actually write today...I will not actually write today...

  2. But it's coming right? I think you should cast him as a sadistic gopher. Just a thought
