So Typhoon Melor is whirling its way up the Pacific. Last I checked, it was heading directly towards us but is expected to veer sharply to the north and hit mainland Japan instead. We'll probably get some wind and rain, but it doesn't look like we'll take a direct hit. We're taking all the customary precautions just in case, not overly concerned, though.
That said, should we take a direct or indirect hit, there's the possibility of losing power and - EEP! - internet access for a few days, particularly since this is a super typhoon. Those tend to make a mess. So, this is my usual "there might be a typhoon, no news is good news, don't worry about us, please send cookies" blog entry.
In the meantime, there is still work to be done. It looks like Behind Closed Doors is getting close to completion. I had estimated 100,000 words, but it looks like it'll be closer to 90,000 by the time I finish. I fully expect to add a few thousand during the revision, so it may hit 100K yet.
After that, oh, it is so on with The Devil You Know. Completely stoked about this story, and it has Scarlett's approval (because God only knows I never write a word without her say so). Should I lose power, well, I'll just have to resort to my Neo and SHAG when my laptop battery runs out.
While I'm blog-rambling, Between Brothers is still doing really well on various sites. It peaked at #2 on mybookstoreandmore, and is currently sitting at #7, which ain't too shabby. On Allromance, it's now #7 on the Overall Bestseller List, #2 on Multiple Partners, #4 on Erotica, and #5 on Contemporary. Huge thanks to everyone who's helped make Between Brothers a success!
In other news, Gerard Butler is hot.
That is all.
