Friday Mancandy - Men in Uniform

Before I get into the fun, frivolity, and gratuitous objectification of gorgeous men, just a quick update...weather permitting, we're going out this weekend with cameras in hand, so expect some Japanistan pictures soon. With any luck, the weekend's excitement should include a bullfight, something we have yet to experience since we've been here. Pictures to come, of course.

Also, I got another great review for Nine Tenths of the Law - yay! Elsewhere on the writing front, NSFW is about 2/3 of the way done, and I have my final copies of The Distance Between Us, which is due out in less than 3 weeks. Hooray for productivity! Oh, and The Best Man is now available on Amazon.

On with the mancandy...

Today, as the title suggests, it's men in uniform. I'd like to preface this by saying I think it's a crime James Purefoy hasn't been cast in a role as either a firefighter or a cop, because...let's face it...that man would look hawt in uniform.

Fortunately, other smexy men have been cast in various uniforms.

Joaquin Phoenix as a firefighter in Ladder 49 (a little bit of trivia: That movie is one of only two films that has ever made me cry.)
Colin Farrell in S.W.A.T., rocking both the regular police uniform...
...and the SWAT smexiness:
But when I say "men in uniform", I don't just mean police and fire. There's also military. Such as David James Elliott from JAG...
...James McAvoy in Atonement...
...and once again, just because I think he's hot:
Joaquin Phoenix, with a smirk and cammies in Buffalo Soldiers...
Jared Leto in an "I saw that movie and had no idea it was him" role in The Thin Red Line...
I suppose for the Elvis fans among us, this could be some double mancandy...Jonathan Rhys Meyers portraying Elvis in...Elvis...
And to complete the line-up of hot uniforms on hotter men...

...

...this shouldn't be a surprise.

So there you have it. Mancandy. Uniforms. Win.

Stay tuned for more sensible blogs about things like writing, life in Japanistan, and random thoughts that sometimes make their home inside my skull.

  1. I approve most mightily, but still say what this blog needs is even more picshurs of Wack.

    See to it at once.
