Finished...again.

For the second time in two weeks, I'm done with Reconstructing Meredith. Four chapters and about 13,000 words later, I think I've gotten the story right. I think. I fucking hope.

Tomorrow? I give it a quick read-through, do the line edits on the new chapters, smooth the transitions between old and new chapters, and unceremoniously dump the Word document into the inboxes of my beta readers.

Then, once I've washed my hands of The Never-Ending Shenanigans of Fixing Meredith, it's time to get cracking on my SF/F novel. It finally has a working title - The God Charade - and a cast of characters. The story is vaguely falling together, but I still need to do some substantial world-building, put together a shitload of background information, and figure out how the fuck I'm going to resolve the conflict(s). So, it'll probably be a week or so before I actually start on the first draft, but we shall see.

Also, before I sign off, congrats to Bookewyrme for selling her steampunk short story! I'll post details here when the story is available so all of my loyal blog minions can get their grubby paws on it. :D In the meantime, congrats again...you've made Jared and Shannon proud.
