The finish line, it approaches!

So much for calling it quits: I'm now two chapters from the end of the first draft of Guilt by Association. It's promising to be a royal bitch to edit, and may need a substantial revision, but at least this part will be done. Both of the remaining chapters are started and at least halfway done, so this thing will be finished by this evening, easily.

My guess is that it'll bring me right up to roughly 75,000 words, which will put me halfway to my goal for NaNoWriMo. Thanks to my OCD-induced use of Excel, I need to average just under 6,000 a day until the end of the month to hit 150K. Can I do it? We shall see.

Of course, this means starting on another book right away, and fortunately, I have one waiting in the wings. No title yet, and the outline isn't 100% complete, but it's getting there. 150K? Here I come.

In other news, Reconstructing Meredith is officially signed to Carnal Passions with a scheduled release of March 2011. I'm really, really looking forward to this book coming out, not to mention its prequel, Light Switch, in January. If safe, sane, and consensual BDSM is your thing, these may very well be the books for you.

Now, off to finish this thriller so I can start the next book...*cracks knuckles*
