Random blog entry is random.

We're just over halfway through NaNoWriMo, so like everyone else, I'm spending more time with my nose to the grindstone than not. Of course this means there hasn't been much on my brain except writing, writing, writing, and I haven't gotten out of the house much. Which means I haven't been out exploring Okinawa like I should, but rest assured, there will be new Japan pics coming soon.

For now, this is just a bunch of random thoughts and updates...

First of all, I just have to say that this is one of the neatest things I've ever read.

In the NaNoWriMo corner, I hit the 50K mark on the 11th, which broke last year's record of the 13th. Still aiming for my personal goal of 150K, and since I'm almost to 90K right now, I have to average about 6K a day between now and the end of the month. So far so good.

Speaking of NaNo, just a friendly reminder that I'm having a contest for NaNo winners, so do feel free to whore this out, retweet it, forward it, e-mail it, graffiti it on the side of buildings, whatever.

With all of that out of the way...I just have to say I am having a freaking blast so far with my current project, Who's Your Daddy? (my husband gets blame/credit for the title). The characters are being snarktacular, the story is turning out better than I thought, and...hell, I'm just enjoying it. I still haven't actually put the outline together, so I'm kind of winging it at this point, but I think I'll get that ironed out today. You know, so I actually know what the hell I'm writing.

So that's what's going on, my loyal blog minions. And what random blog post would be complete without some random mancandy?

  3. Can I just say...I so freaking HOPE the novella gets published under the title "Who's Your Daddy?" That's just about the awsomest title in the history of ever.

  4. bookewyrme - I'm leaning very heavily towards it. It started out as a joke and a working title, but...it fits. :D
