I am back from getting my new tattoo! Pictures to follow shortly; I have to keep the bandage on a little bit longer. It was definitely one of my more painful tattoos, but well worth it. Though it was somewhat unnerving for the artist to realize, after the fact, that he had written "s" instead of "z" in the text. YIKES!! Fortunately, it was an easy -- if painful -- fix.
On the way home, we stopped at Jack in the Box to indulge in our traditional lunch of Sourdough Jacks, which we always do when in Washington, because Virginia is criminally devoid of Jack in the Box restaurants. Yummy, as always.
Then, we got home to find a package on the doorstep containing my birthday present: an Alphasmart Neo. It came highly recommended by Ms Papercuts, and who am I to question her? It will come in handy on the plane when my laptop battery dies, plus I can use it in Okinawa when the power is out. According to Ms Papercuts, the batteries last damn near forever. It's a neat little toy! :D
So, it's been a good day so far. Pictures of the tattoo to follow soon.

ReplyDeleteThe AlphaSmart Neo is the best writing tool since MSN. (Well look how MSN has spiced up our respective novels). It's very light, the batteries DO last forever and because the screen is so small, it discourages you from looking back and worrying about editing. I find this encourages me to just keep going. I wrote over 50k in a month on it once and it's ideal for things like NaNoWriMo or just writing on the move, if you don't want to take something as valuable as a laptop outdoors with you.
